The Indian Academy of Pediatrics Committee For Framing Guidelines On The Management Of Diarrhea In Children (members listed in Annexure 1) convened a meeting at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, to revise the guidelines for management of diarrhea in children. The focus of this review was oral rehydration solutions, zinc and probiotics in acute diarrhea, drug treatment of dysentery, and management of diarrhea in the young infant and severely malnourished subjects.
